Read The more grateful I am, the more reasons I find to be thankful

The more grateful I am, the more reasons I find to be thankful. Each day, as I wake up and breathe in the fresh morning air, I am reminded that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning, so great is His faithfulness. It fills my heart with gratitude to know that I have been given another opportunity to experience the beauty of life.

As I go about my daily tasks, I remember to commit my work to the LORD, so my plans may be established. I work with my whole heart at whatever I do, as though I am working for the Lord rather than for people. I know the Lord will give me an inheritance as my reward, and that the Master I am always serving is Christ. Since I live by the Spirit, I keep in step with the Spirit. And thankfulness becomes easier and easier.

I won’t give God credit for the works of the one who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. He is good and in a good mood. I am not anxious about anything, but I pray about everything. With thanksgiving, I make my requests known to my loving Father. I treat all hardship as discipline, knowing He is good and will work all things together for good. I cast my cares on Him because I know He cares for me. Remembering this makes me more and more thankful.

Temptations in my life do not differ from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than I can stand. When I am tempted, He shows me a way out, so that I can endure. How awesome is He?

He empowers me to accomplish every good work prompted by faith. So it means He gives me faith…and the power to accomplish every good work prompted by faith. He tells me to do something and gives me His empowering grace to see it done. Thank you, Father, for loving me like You do.

And thank You for taking care of me and all my needs. I know that as I sow generously and don’t give reluctantly and under compulsion, You generously provide all I need and that I will always have everything I need and plenty left over to share with others.

Today I realize that the more grateful I am, the more reasons I find to be thankful. I choose to remember God’s love, faithfulness, and provision in my life. They inspire me to cultivate a heart of gratitude and seek opportunities to give thanks in all circumstances.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How can I cultivate a heart of gratitude and thankfulness in my daily life, knowing that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness is great?
  2. In what ways can I commit my work to You and seek to serve You wholeheartedly, knowing that You reward those who diligently seek You?
  3. How can I rely on Your faithfulness and provision when faced with challenges or temptations, trusting that You will provide a way out and empower me to endure?

I figured it was the group I grew up in, so we’re the only ones I should probably poke fun at. Apparently some people didn’t’ know that about me. One day I came back into the class with a fresh cup of coffee before the break was over. There was a group in the back corner and I went to see what was going on. One of the guys turned to me and said, “Can you believe these guys still think tongues is still a gift for today?” “Hey me too!” I laughed, “I pray them every day!” Then I challenged, “How do you strengthen yourself
