I think the thing I have taught on the most the last several years is trust—how to trust God when life doesn’t make sense and how to be a trustable person. The work I do is all about building and stewarding trust with people who would probably never—on their own—be in any church I’d belong to. Trust is build consistency over time and accelerated with compassion in tragedy and companionship in teamwork.
