God's generosity

I celebrate God's generosity

“For if you praise God only in the spirit, how can those who don’t understand you praise God along with you? How can they join you in giving thanks when they don’t understand what you are saying? You will be giving thanks very well, but it won’t strengthen the people who hear you.” 1 Corinthians 14:16-17 (GW)

Read I celebrate God's generosity

Looking back on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for the abundant blessings that have been poured out upon me. My boundary lines have fallen in pleasant places. The Lord is good and stronghold in the times of trouble. I will tell of Your goodness; all day long I will speak.

In times of uncertainty, I am reminded of the birds of the air, who do not toil or worry about their provision. If God cares for them, how much more will He provide for me, His beloved child? I know that my Heavenly Father will meet all my needs according to His glorious riches.

I know that as I seek first His kingdom and righteousness, everything I need will be added in as well. Every good and perfect gift I receive is a reminder of His love and generosity. God invites me to delight in Him, promising to fulfill the desires of my heart. As I transform more and more into the image of His Son, my desires become more and more His desires.

As I seek His presence and find joy in Him, He blesses me beyond measure, exceeding my expectations. And as I honour the Lord with my resources and give cheerfully, I witness the overflowing abundance that He graciously pours into my life. With each act of giving, I experience His promise of pressed down, shaken-together blessings.

When I give generously and sacrificially, I am met with an outpouring of blessings that cannot be contained. The floodgates of heaven open wide, and God’s goodness overflows into every area of my life. Through each act of giving, I am reminded of the cheerful heart that God loves. He delights in my willingness to share His blessings with others, and in return, He refreshes and prospers me.

In awe of God’s power and love, I am reminded that He can do immeasurably more than I could ever ask or imagine. His generosity knows no bounds, bringing glory to His name throughout all generations. As I refresh others, I am refreshed in return. As I bless others, I get blessed.

God’s faithfulness is evident as He prospers those who choose to be generous, reminding me of the joy found in selfless giving. Tasting and experiencing the goodness of the Lord, I take refuge in Him. Blessed is the one who seeks shelter in His unfailing love and finds satisfaction in His abundant provision.

Today, I celebrate God’s generosity and give thanks for His continuous blessings in my life. He is faithful to provide for all my needs and delights in pouring out His love upon me.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How has Your generosity and provision been evident in My life’s journey?
  2. In what ways can I cultivate a heart of cheerful giving and honour You with My resources?
  3. How can I continue to seek Your presence, delight in You, and align my desires with Your own, knowing that You promises to fulfill the desires of my heart?

I figured it was the group I grew up in, so we’re the only ones I should probably poke fun at. Apparently some people didn’t’ know that about me. One day I came back into the class with a fresh cup of coffee before the break was over. There was a group in the back corner and I went to see what was going on. One of the guys turned to me and said, “Can you believe these guys still think tongues is still a gift for today?” “Hey me too!” I laughed, “I pray them every day!” Then I challenged, “How do you strengthen yourself
