Gratitude is not a struggle for me

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” - Psalm 103:1-5 (GW)

Read Gratitude is not a struggle for me

Gratitude is not a struggle for me because I start with all God has done for me. I will thank God in front of the great assembly and will praise Him before all the people. I am thankful for so many things. He has blessed me with every spiritual blessing in Christ. He’s given me everything I need for life and godliness. I see His blessing every time I turn around. In my family, career, and everyone in my everyday world, I am richly blessed. For all these things and more, gratitude comes easily to me.

He has settled my boundary stones in pleasant places. As I follow Him, I know I am on the right path, and I am thankful for it. Whether it is the job through which I receive my living, or I’m working on a passion He has entrusted to me, I feel blessed to have a calling in life. Gratitude is my natural response to His blessing and revelation.

The gifts and talents He has entrusted to me to share with the world are valuable and valued, and I am thankful for them and humbled by them. Some come easily to me. Others, I work to develop because He gave me the passion to get better with them. All of them are worth having, and I count myself so blessed to have been entrusted with them.

When I notice myself feeling less grateful, I take deep breaths and look around me. I pause and invite Holy Spirit. I enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. What do I see that is good? Small things remind me to be grateful, like my partner’s hand on my shoulder and an amazing day with perfect weather. I would not want to miss any of His blessings. God is so good to me.

Today, every opportunity in my life brings me joy. From the blessing I receive from Him to the gifts I have been entrusted to give, every thing is received with thanksgiving! Each day, I cultivate my emotions by feeling grateful for what I have.

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

I figured it was the group I grew up in, so we’re the only ones I should probably poke fun at. Apparently some people didn’t’ know that about me. One day I came back into the class with a fresh cup of coffee before the break was over. There was a group in the back corner and I went to see what was going on. One of the guys turned to me and said, “Can you believe these guys still think tongues is still a gift for today?” “Hey me too!” I laughed, “I pray them every day!” Then I challenged, “How do you strengthen yourself
