When I dropped my kids off at school I would tell them. “You are loved. Live loved. Have fun storming the castle.”

The first two come from the Bible. The final one from Princess Bride.

It was a shorthand for us. I wanted them to know they are loved by my wife and I so many others and God, I wanted them to know to show love to others. Finally, I wanted them to know whatever impossible and “boring” situation they had that day, they could make it fun and prevail (Wesley did rescue Buttercup after being mostly dead all day).

He demonstrates his love in this, while I was still a sinner Christ died for me. He made the way so I can be with him in this life and for eternity. His banner over me is love. I am loved.
